Luxury Tours

Luxury here is space.

The best camps on each route, a private guide, and a horizon with nobody in it.

What luxury means in Mongolia.

An honest word first: outside Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia has very few five-star hotels, and anyone selling you one deep in the Gobi is selling an idea. What Mongolia offers instead is rarer, whole valleys to yourselves, and comfort where it counts: the best established ger camps on each route, hot food cooked for your group, a hotel bed in the city at each end.

On a luxury trip we book the strongest camps available on the route, pace the itinerary with unhurried days rather than long daily drives, use domestic flights where they cut a full day behind the wheel, and keep the same private guide and Land Cruiser from first day to last.

The itineraries guests most often choose for comfort and depth are the longer ones below, where the pacing is generous and the camps are chosen first. Any tour we run can be built this way, tell us your standard of comfort and Baska will design to it.

Chosen for comfort and depth.

Comfort, asked directly.

Are there five-star hotels in the Mongolian countryside?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. In Ulaanbaatar, yes, and we book them for your first and last nights. On the route, comfort means the best established ger camps available, chosen camp by camp when the itinerary is designed.

What makes a trip luxury if the camps are shared-facility?

Space, pacing, and priority. Your own guide and vehicle, the strongest camp on each stage booked early, unhurried days, meals arranged for your group, and flights used where they save a long drive. The scarce resource in Mongolia is not marble, it is time and silence.

Can you shorten the long drives?

Often, yes. Domestic flights serve several regional hubs, and some itineraries, like our 22-day western expedition, already end with a flight back to Ulaanbaatar instead of retracing the route by road.

Tell us your standard of comfort.

Baska will say plainly what is possible on your route, and design to it.
