All 24 Imperial Nomad tours use the same per-person, per-day rates. The longer the trip and the larger the group, the less you pay per head. Pricing in USD.

How our pricing works.

Every Imperial Nomad tour, custom build or starter route, prices the same way: a per-person, per-day rate that depends on group size. We do not run scheduled departures with random strangers, so your group is whoever you bring.

Larger groups pay less per head because the fixed costs of guide, driver, and 4WD vehicle split across more travelers. A pair of friends and a group of six see the same landscapes the same way, only the per-head math changes.

Solo travelers do not see a published rate because the solo case varies. Sometimes we match singles into a small group on a route already running; sometimes we run a tailored solo trip with a single supplement. Write to us either way and we will send a quote within 24 hours.

What is included in the daily rate.

  • English-speaking Mongolian guide (Baska or another Mongolian-led guide on the team)
  • Driver and 4WD vehicle (Land Cruiser or equivalent)
  • Fuel
  • Ger camps and family stays along the route
  • All meals during the tour (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • National park entry fees

What is not included.

  • International flights to and from Ulaanbaatar
  • Domestic flights inside Mongolia (rarely needed; charged at cost if routed)
  • Travel insurance (required, we recommend SafetyWing or World Nomads)
  • Festival tickets (Naadam, Golden Eagle Festival) when relevant
  • Personal expenses, alcohol, and tips
  • Visa fees

Pricing questions.

Why is the per-person rate lower for larger groups?

The fixed costs of guide, driver, vehicle, and fuel are the same whether two or six people travel. Larger groups split those fixed costs across more travelers, so the per-head daily rate drops.

Are festival tickets included?

No. Tickets for Naadam (July) and the Golden Eagle Festival (October) are bought separately so you only pay for them on the routes and years they apply. We arrange the tickets for routes that visit them.

Can I get a custom-length trip?

Yes. Custom builds use the same per-day rate as the starter routes. Tell us how many days you can spare and what you want to see, and we shape the route around that.

What about solo travelers?

Solo pricing is case-by-case. Sometimes we match a solo traveler into an existing small group; sometimes we run a tailored solo trip with a single supplement. Write to us with your dates and we will send a quote within 24 hours.

What currency? What if exchange rates move?

All rates are quoted in USD. You can pay in USD by bank transfer or card. We invoice in USD so any currency moves between your home currency and ours are on your side.
